Notes

Tips

  • Let the pork chops rest for about 5 minutes before serving. This helps keep them juicy.
  • If your pork chops are thinner than 1 inch, reduce the cooking time by a minute or two per side.
  • An instant-read thermometer is the easiest way to make sure they don’t overcook.

Optional Garlic Parmesan Pan Sauce

Want to make these extra special? After removing the pork chops from the skillet:
  • Leave the butter and garlic in the pan.
  • Add ½ cup chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits.
  • Simmer for about 2 minutes.
  • Stir in ¼ cup heavy cream and 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Simmer another 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Spoon over the pork chops and mashed potatoes. It’s rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious.
