Asian Grilled Salmon

This is one of our favorite ways to have salmon. It's the perfect flavor for this type of fish. Plus, the marinade is simple and easy. Enjoy!
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes

Ingredients

Marinade
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 3 tbsp good soy sauce
  • 6 tbsp good olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp minced garlic

Method

  1. Place a flat-top pan on the stove to heat. (Or heat up the grill!)
  2. Place the salmon in the hot pan or grill. Discard the rest of the marinade. Grill for 4 to 5 minutes, depending on the thickness of the salmon.
  3. Turn carefully with a wide spatula and grill for another 4 to 5 minutes. The salmon will be slightly raw in the center, but it continues to cook as it sits.
  4. Transfer the salmon to a plate and allow it to rest for 10 minutes.
  5. Serve with vegetables and sticky rice.

Notes

You'll notice the recipe calls for good soy sauce and olive oil. The flavors really do make a difference, so choose wisely!
Also, when I make this, I always add extra minced garlic because there's never enough. Don't be shy with it. Feel free to double or triple the amount.
