Book Report: The Housemaid’s Secret

After reading The Housemaid, I couldn’t wait to read the second installment by Freida McFadden, The Housemaid’s Secret. Was this going to be similar to the first? What has Millie been going through since the incidents with the Winchesters? I really couldn’t wait to jump in. And I was not disappointed.

Millie is in a great relationship with a man who is a lawyer at a reputable firm from a distinguished family. But you can tell she doesn’t believe she should be in such a perfect relationship. Almost like she doesn’t deserve it.

After being fired from one housecleaning job, she gets another. It pays well, but it’s clear that she’s notsupposed to interact with the homeowner’s wife. And as things go from bad to worse, she realizes this woman really needs help. Mille finds herself in a similar situation. But the twist isn’t what I expected at all. Plus, she now has a friend inside the police department. Something I bet she’d never thought she’d have!

Again, I really recommend this series. They’re great, easy reads with wonderful character development. I can’t wait to read the last in this series.
