Local Woman Missing was my second book to read this year, and I absolutely loved it. This was a book I saw recommended in the Psychological Thrillers Facebook group, and I’m so glad they did. It’s written by Mary Kubica, an author I’ll be sure to follow.
A woman goes missing. Then, another woman and her daughter go missing. Did the husband in either case have something to do with it? People in the community all have their suspicions. The rumor mill is certainly turning.
Then, after 11 years, the daughter returns. But there are more questions than answers. No one is prepared for the truth.
This book jumped around a bit. In such a way that I really had to keep up with the storyline and the timeline. But it worked well. Really well. This author did such a great job with each character’s point of view, all leading to the dramatic, twisted conclusion.
I highly recommend this book. It’s one I would love to read again.
