Ask for Andrea was by far the best book I’ve ever read. So, I just had to pick up Noelle West Ihli’s standalone prequel, Forget You Saw Her. I was not disappointed. This book was so emotional and had me hooked right away.
Across the country, notes taped to restroom stalls read, “On a date that isn’t going well? Ask for Andrea at the bar. We’ll make sure you get home safe.”
But Andrea—the girl behind the campaign—didn’t make it home safe.
She disappeared without a trace at seventeen. The police labeled her a runaway, and the case went cold. That is, until her mother, Sabina, starts digging for answers.
What unfolds is a deeply haunting story of a mother’s relentless search for truth and justice. As Sabina gets closer, the danger grows more intense. Someone is watching. Someone who has everything to lose if the truth comes out. A predator hiding in plain sight, carefully guarding the darkness he’s worked so hard to keep buried.
But what makes this book truly unforgettable isn’t just the suspense—it’s the raw, emotional weight behind it. This story doesn’t hold back. The innocence of the victims, the lives stolen from them, and the ripple effect of that loss are absolutely heartbreaking. There was a moment I had to stop reading because I was crying. These weren’t just characters—they felt real, and what was taken from them felt deeply personal.
Dennis didn’t just commit crimes—he stole futures, families, and the safety so many take for granted. And that reality lingers long after the final page.
This book is more than a thriller. It’s a powerful, emotional story about loss, resilience, and the fierce love of a mother who refuses to let her daughter be forgotten. It will stay with you—and it will make you feel every step of the way.
