Book Report: The Murder Society

So excited for Book 4 of the Sadie Gray FBI Mystery Series called The Murder Society!

When Sadie Gray worked her last assignment, she never expected that the end of one case would rocket her right into the next, but then the creep said her name, told her she was on his list.

When Sadie and Brad are pulled into several murders, all seemingly related to an online group called The Murder Society, the game of cat and mouse becomes one of survival, for the hacker known only as “Monster” is throwing bodies at them, but he’s also tearing through Sadie’s private life.

Can Sadie keep her head while everything falls apart, or will she be the next victim claimed by a mastermind group of psychopaths and sadistic killers? She and Brad must move quickly, because the bodies are piling up fast, and Monster is closing in on Sadie even faster…

But what really made this book stick with me wasn’t just the intensity of the case—it was Sadie herself. I loved seeing her wrestle with her need for connection, especially when it comes to her love life. She’s strong and capable, but also human in a way that feels so real. Watching her open up to Cassius and actually let herself have something meaningful was so satisfying… which of course made it even harder when it all fell apart. That part genuinely hurt.

There were also moments where Sadie surprised me in a harder way—like when she shot the murderer. It felt almost cold, and I didn’t totally love that choice… but at the same time, I understood it. That tension between right and wrong, justice and emotion, is part of what makes her character so compelling.

By the end, I was completely hooked (and maybe a little stressed). I can’t wait for the next book, but I’m also nervous for what’s coming—especially with Sadie going undercover and potentially not having Brad by her side. That partnership has been such a steady anchor, and the thought of her navigating everything without it definitely raises the stakes.

Either way, I’ll be first in line to see what happens next.
