Book Report: FBI Agent Jade Monroe Series

I finished all 12 of the FBI Agent Jade Monroe Live or Die Series by C.M. Sutter. And let me tell you why I give it 5 out of 5 stars.

I won’t go into each book specifically, since I’ve already done that in each post. What I will say is that I sped through this 12-book series with ease. Yes, it was easy to read and easy to follow. But it was also stimulating and interesting. Each book was different, with a different set of challenges for the team. Learning about the various ways the FBI team uses tools at its disposal to track down the bad guys and getting into the minds of criminals is so fascinating.

All of the books in the series were good, but a few really caught my attention. Of course, the first one, Blood in the Bayou, was a great opener. It really set the tone for how Jade and her partner work these cases and how they bounce ideas off one another.

Another favorite is Blood Legacy. This one was so emotional and really gripping. It dealt with child abuse and slave labor. So many lives had been upended in this book. But the end result was so amazing.

Blood Equity was also really good. The opening scene really set the tone for the book. It was creepy and scary, with victims knowing their deaths were imminent, with no way to stop them.

Blood Rules was another great book that had two different murderers who crossed paths. It took a ton of work from the police and FBI to figure this one out!

I also really loved Blood Betrayal. It was a bit different, though it also had two sets of murderers. Two different killers in two different areas that focused on killing their spouses’ lovers. And then contract killing entered the mix!

And then, of course, I loved the last book of the series, Blood Brother, which brought Jade and her sister full circle with regards to their dad’s murder. The man whose son killed their cop father, and was in turn killed by Jade, engaged his nephew to kill Jade. With the help of her team, both the Detectives and the FBI, they turn the tables on him.

I’ve mentioned several times in the book review posts that these books should be a mini-series. Something like Criminal Minds or CSI would give these books justice. An episode per book. I’d watch it on repeat!

Now, I know there are two other series about Jade. The first is called A Detective Jade Monroe Crime Thriller. It’s a 5-book series about Jade being recently promoted to Detective. The second is An Agent Jade Monroe FBI Thriller, which is also a 5-book series. This one focuses on her just graduating from the FBI’s serial crimes unit in homicide. And there’s also one from Amber’s perspective called An Amber Monroe Crime Thriller. I won’t be jumping right into one of those. I plan to dig into my book list for some others. However, I might jump back in just because they’re so goo.

I hands down give this series a 5 out of 5 stars. It’s engaging from start to finish. It’s thrilling to the end. I mean, I only wanted to read Blood in the Bayou and couldn’t stop until I read all 12!
