Well, the OKYO season is over. Devin performed in his last Oklahoma Youth Philharmonic concert yesterday.

It was a very busy Sunday. Devin has a soccer game just before the concert, which forced him to miss the sound-check. But we all made it, and I’m so glad we did. The concert was amazing. A total of 5 bands performed for us: The Oklahoma Youth Winds, Chamber Orchestra, Festival Strings, Festival Orchestra, and Devin’s band went last. It was amazing. The selection of music and the level of performers from all the bands was just mind-blowing.

Though I’m happy to get a little bit of time back, and I’m sure Devin is, too, I’m sad to see it end. There’s a possibility that Devin won’t stick with this next year. He’s going to try out, though, and then make his decision later. It’s a big time commitment, so I understand. But it’s also an amazing accomplishment. Plus, he had 2 solos in this concert!
