I can say that Darcy Coates has become one of my favorite authors. I love her writing style, and her stories are truly engaging. Ghost Camera was no different. And the best part? This book contained several more stories I could not put down!

The first story, Ghost Camera, definitely grabbed my attention. I felt for Jenine and Bree. Bree was simply trying to help her friend, and both of them were understandably curious about what Jenine had found. Of course, that curiosity quickly turned into something much more terrifying.
But what I really loved about this book was that Ghost Camera was only the beginning.
This book includes several additional stories, and I honestly enjoyed every single one of them. Usually with a collection like this, there are going to be one or two stories that stand out while the others are just okay. That wasn’t the case here. Each story pulled me in with a completely different creepy premise, and every time I finished one, I immediately wanted to start the next.
That’s one of the things I’m really starting to love about Darcy Coates. She knows how to create that unsettling feeling that something isn’t quite right, then slowly make it worse. Her stories are creepy without being difficult to follow, and they’re incredibly easy to get lost in.
I also loved the variety in this collection. The stories weren’t simply different versions of the same haunted-house or ghost story. Each one had its own characters, mystery, and type of horror, which kept the entire book interesting from beginning to end.
And I truly couldn’t put it down.
I’d tell myself I was going to finish one story and stop, only to immediately start another because I needed to know what happened next. That’s always the sign of a great book for me.
Ghost Camera only confirmed what I’ve already been thinking: Darcy Coates has officially become one of my favorite authors. If you like creepy stories, supernatural mysteries, and books that keep you saying, “Okay, just one more chapter,” this one is absolutely worth picking up.
