I have made this meal more than I can count. The kids love it and it’s a perfect weekday meal especially when we’re on the go.
Now, keep in mind that when I make this, I triple the below ingredient list. I have 3 boys who are all in soccer and extremely active. I need more than what’s listed below!
Ingredients
1 pound of ground beef
1/2 cup of ketchup
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tube (12 ounces) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
Shredded cheese
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain. Return to pan.
- Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Remove the biscuits from the package and divide each in half. Press each biscuit onto the bottom and up the sides of a greased muffin cup.
- Spoon the beef mixture into cups and top with shredded cheese.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 14-16 minutes or until golden brown.
Additional Toppings
These cheeseburger cups are perfect as is. but to make them even better, top them with diced pickles, tomatoes, avocado, and onions. You can even add some crushed cooked bacon.
Freezing
Freeze the cooled cheeseburger cups in a freezer container, separating the layers with waxed paper. To use, thaw in the regierator for 8 hours. Then reheat on a baking sheet in a preheated 375 degree over until heated through.
