I recently wrote about Devin trying out for the competitive soccer team, The Crew, and what that means for True Potential.
Well, with all the changes happening lately, I also noticed how Devin isn’t playing soccer in our fields with the neighborhood kids. For years, it’s been a nightly tradition, or near-nightly, during the spring and summer for all of the kids to get together and play soccer. Well, the usual kids, Devin included, seem to be busy with other things. They’re no longer participating in that ritual.
But I did notice something else. A group of younger kids has been playing in those fields, almost nightly. And Braden happens to be one of them. Has Devin passed the torch to a younger generation? Is this a changing of the guard?
