November was a whirlwind of busyness and celebration! From soccer games and tournaments to tryouts and school functions, we were pulled in all directions. But we didn’t let that stop us from celebrating.
The Thankful Pumpkin

I saw this project on Facebook. And though I’m not usually one to try stuff I see there, this one seemed easy and cool.
The idea is to write something you’re thankful for every single day. I started it on October 1st so that it would be completed by Thanksgiving. The first few days were easy: My family, the boys, my friends, God, etc. But as the days went on, it really made you think of all the things, big or small, that you’re thankful for. I added things like firepits, reading, baking, scenic drives, etc. The list went on and on. The kids helped, too, which made it even more special. Austin would NOT let me forget! The above picture is only part of it. But I really did love this project, and I’ll be doing it again.
The Trip to Texas
We were so happy to spend Thanksgiving at my parents’ house in Jefferson, Texas. We all missed them and it was nice that we were all able to go this time. And only Mike and Devin left early to go to a tournament, but were still there to enjoy everyone’s company. And a game of Yahtzee!
I did not get pictures. We were too busy resting, eating, and drinking! Just know that we had a ton of fun and got some time to relax – something that was terribly needed.
Also, let’s just say that Braden is such a good car buddy. He sat up front with me and helped me all the way home. I’m not being sarcastic. He helped with the radio, the map, and with Austin…his help was endless, and I appreciate him even more for it! It was a great road trip!
