Well, soccer is in full swing! Austin’s outdoor team may be winding down, but that didn’t stop them during a tournament this past weekend!
The Vipers ended their outdoor season with a 3-0 victory, capturing 1st place in their age division! They ended up with 33 goals and only allowed 3. It’s a great stat.
Devin has 2 games that both ended in ties. They went 1-1 against the Norman Celtics. Devin had a couple of really close shots. It was a crazy game, though. One red card, lots of flops, and some interesting calls. His second game was with the 08/09 team, and they tied 0-0. I didn’t go to this game, but Mike said Devin put himself into great positions.
Braden also had soccer tryouts for the Deer Creek Middle School. Besides that, he also came to the other games to take pictures. Like the one of Devin above. He might be delving into the work of photography. He’s really good at it!
It started out as a nice weekend, but quickly turned cold. But it was a truly successful soccer weekend. And there’s more to come. Austin starts indoor soccer this week. Devin is traveling to Dallas for Crew soccer tournaments this weekend and next weekend. Then he and Mike are off to Dallas a third time for the Futbico Pro tryouts. So busy. And we love it!
