Braden has the chance to participate in his first Spirit Tournament at Poos Taekwondo!
It was something we’d never experienced, but I’m so glad we did. It was amazing! So many kids participating together to compete for the top title, and so many parents cheering them on.
Braden has a lot of fun. And though the Panthers (his group name) came in last, it was a great experience he’d like to do again.
The Falcons still reign supreme, the Wolves are close behind, the Dragon came in 3rd, and the Panthers were 4th. Braden knows there’s some work to do.
He doesn’t seem excited, but I promise it’s because he was focused!
Braden performs his form against another kid from a different group.
The Panther group performs their forms together. The idea is to do your forms perfectly, with snap, and in sync.
Braden participates in sparring. Round 1.
Sparring, Round 2.
I can’t stress enough how important sports are for young kids, and Taekwondo is no exception. It’s an amazing group of instructors and kids. We can’t wait to so another Spirit Tournament!
