Some of you may know this, but Devin works hard with soccer because he wants to progress in college and beyond. Obviously, his goal is to make it to the Premier League. But Devin loves soccer so much that I’m not really sure he cares where he plays.

Well, recently, we’ve been working with NCSA, a recruiting platform geared toward helping Devin get identified by college coaches.

There is a lot to this. Taking a few pictures and video is not enough. But we’ve worked on his profile with NCSA, picked some colleges, and helped him narrow down a major – though he doesn’t seem to care about that; he just wants to play soccer!

Picking a college is not easy. D1? D2? D3? NAIA? Junior College? There are so many. And Devin doesn’t really seem sure what he wants to do with the rest of his life outside of soccer. But we have a list on his NCSA profile that we’ll keep adjusting depending on his needs/wants.

Then it was up to us to get videos onto YouTube. What a daunting task. I worked on it for a few days. And though it still needs a little work, we have 72 videos on Devin’s YouTube channel with a few hundred views so far. Want to see videos as early as 2014? Check it out here!

I am so proud of Devin. I’m proud of how hard he’s worked to get to this point. I cannot believe we’re already talking about colleges…and beyond.

Where did the time go?

And I just wanted to leave you with this quick video I clipped of Devin’s futsal score with the OKC Crew ’07 team. They won that game. I’m pretty sure Devin had 3 or 4 scores on his won. It was awesome!
