Again, 2020 has not been a great year. But one of the saddest things we’ve experienced is the lost of our darling Beagle, Bailey. Our first pet as a couple. Our first kid. I am terribly saddened by her death, though we saw it coming. It doesn’t make it any easier though. And I do know she was in a lot of pain but it doesn’t take way how we feel. And the kids. The poor kids. They grew up with her. Devin and Braden didn’t know life without her. But rather than talk about how sad it is and how sick she was in the end. I’m going to focus on the good times.
She was so lively and spunky as a puppy. Beagles are known for their stubbornness and she was no exception. Took us 9 months to potty-train her. She loved her walks. So much. She’d run and gallop and make these cute little noises. She was so happy. And the snuggles, oh the snuggles. She would curl up with you on the couch or sleep right beside you under the blankets. She kept us warm in the winter.
She loved her treats. She loved the kids. She loved us. We will always miss her but we are so thankful we got to spend those 14 wonderful years with her. And we’ll see her again.
